What You Will Be Doing

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-Develop Software
-Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications
-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
-Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
-Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
-Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance at Secret level so must be a US Citizen.

- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field

- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio environment

- Experience with development in C++ and Java

- Experience in software architecture, design, coding, unit test, integration, and verification

- Experience with Software integration

- Experience with graphics or GUI development

- Excellent communication and presentation skills as this role will require interfacing with program counterparts.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ATAK/WinTAK

- Experience developing Android applications

- Experience with Geospatial Data/Applications

- Experience with Qt user interface development

- Experience with a graphics SDK (OpenGL or DirectX)

- Experience with OpenSceneGraph or osgEarth

- Experience generating and maintaining program
software documentation such as SRS, ICD, Test Plans, Test Procedures

- Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git/JIRA

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
