Job Description

We’re seeking a highly creative Experiential Designer to lead the concept-to-execution design process for an exciting movie premiere! In this role, you’ll bring imaginative, kid-friendly experiences to life while balancing creative vision with real-world fabrication considerations. This is a great opportunity to own the end-to-end creative process on a high-energy, high-visibility event.

Location: Los Angeles (some on-site may be required)

Duration: August–October (10–20 hours/week; potential increase in fall)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire experiential design scope for a high-profile children’s movie premiere, including:
• Floor planning and spatial design
• SketchUp modeling and 3D rendering (Podium, Enscape, or preferred tools)
• Mood boards, set & room mockups, and print/build lists
• Develop interactive, kid-friendly concepts that align with the event’s theme and audience.
• Work closely with vendors to discuss fabrication realities, ensuring feasibility and quality of all builds.
• Manage all aspects of the design process from initial concept through final execution .
• Apply strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to independently drive the project forward.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure design aligns with creative and brand goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in experiential, spatial, or event design from concept through delivery.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design tools (SketchUp or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and the ability to communicate effectively with production vendors.
• Experience creating immersive, kid-friendly environments; red carpet or premiere design experience is a strong plus .
• Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and adapt quickly to evolving project needs.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
