POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Ranch and Hospitality Maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of all houses, barns, shops, and landscaping on the ranch. This role requires a diverse skill set, including experience in carpentry, residential pools, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Heavy emphasis on residential maintenance is required. This position also requires ability to understand and help facilitate and execute different types of events and reservations. This role requires client facing interactions on a consistent basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS  

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all ranch houses, including those equipped with pools.
  • Conduct inspections and address any structural issues or damage promptly.
  • Ensure proper functioning and safety of all electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform regular lawn care, tree and shrub maintenance, and irrigation system upkeep on all houses.
  • Develop and adhere to a maintenance schedule for all structures and landscaping.
  • Execute maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively to ensure the ranch's overall functionality.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and address them before they become major problems.
  • Possibility of guiding hunts if it does not conflict with primary maintenance duties.
  • Ability to provide event set up support for any event hosted at the lodging units, barns, gun range etc.

Perform additional duties as required to support the department's effective operation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
  • Hunting/Shooting and or Outfitter experience a Big Plus.
  • Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
  • Background in Hospitality a plus.

As a company with products related to the firearms and outdoor sports industry, applicants must be comfortable working in environments where firearms and related equipment are present. This includes attending events, demonstrations, and training sessions that may take place on shooting ranges or in other outdoor settings. A passion for our industry and a willingness to engage in hands-on experiences are essential for success in this role. Experience in the firearms and/or hunting industry and knowledge of safe weapons handling is highly preferred.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and operate office machinery and motor vehicles. 
  • Must be able to lift to (50) pounds
  • The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment. The employee will be exposed to severe, inclement weather and varying degrees of extreme temperature. The employee may be exposed to various industrial chemicals and cleaning agents, as well as strong odors and loud noises.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS

Schedules will vary based on business needs and will include evenings, weekends, and extended hours.
