Position Summary:

As the Sr. Business Analyst – Sourcing & Procurement, you play a key role on the Procurement Team, delivering actionable insights through data analysis to drive effective vendor management, cost savings, and strategic sourcing decisions. You will partner closely with procurement leadership, category managers, and stakeholders across the business to optimize spend, improve supplier performance, and enable data-driven decision-making across Applied Digital’s sourcing operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis to support procurement initiatives, including vendor performance evaluations, cost benchmarking, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for tracking KPIs related to sourcing, supplier compliance, and procurement operations.
  • Support vendor management activities by analyzing performance metrics, spend trends, and contract compliance.
  • Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and support category management strategies.
  • Provide forecasting and trend analysis to assist with procurement planning and budgeting.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions and negotiations.
  • Assist in the development of savings strategies and measurement of actualized savings.
  • Support sourcing events by delivering pricing analysis, supplier scoring, and cost modeling.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data accuracy, availability, and integration across systems.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the success and efficiency of the company.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at varying position levels and across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment for evaluating risks and making informed decisions.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or procurement analytics, preferably within a sourcing or supply chain environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and procurement tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement and sourcing best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Data Center, IT, or construction procurement environments.
  • Familiarity with contract analytics, supplier risk tools, and savings tracking methodologies.

Physical Requirements:

Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.

Working Conditions Based on Location:

Remote: The Company agrees that Employee may work from home provided employee is in good standing, has a continuous secured internet connection, necessary equipment, and is accessible by MS Teams, phone, fax, and email during business hours. (See Telework policy.)

Office Environment: Business office hours, with work hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions. Some overtime may be required to accomplish timely work demands and meet the company’s professional commitments. Overtime hours worked are paid to nonexempt employees at one and a half times their hourly pay rate.

Site Location: We are a 24-hour facility. Work hours (shifts) are assigned as necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions, ensure compliance, and support efficient company operations. Some positions require work at irregular hours (nights/weekends), overtime, alternating shifts, and working in challenging conditions (heat/cold, hazardous environments, loud worksites). Overtime hours worked are paid to nonexempt employees at one and a half times their hourly pay rate.
