As a Security Professional - Armed Government Facility - Full Time in Goldsboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or violations within the government facility.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or contractors while upholding site-specific requirements.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
