Job Description

Certified Site Safety of NY, LLC is expanding its firm’s Safety Department and has immediate opportunities available for qualified safety engineers/safety supervisors at various transit project locations. Qualifications:

• 3-5 years MTA, LIRR, NYC Transit or Amtrak construction safety or construction safety-related experience
• OSHA 30 hour Construction Safety and Health completed within the past 5 years
• BCSP Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
• 40 hr. NYC DOB Site Safety Manager Course
• 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with coworkers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced demanding environment

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage all safety matter for project site
• Shall be familiar with work being performed and familiar with the Safety Plan/Program
• Perform and document daily safety inspections of the Work Site
• Conduct weekly Safety Meetings “Tool-box talks”
• Conduct accident and incident investigations
• Willingness to work nights and weekends 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts
