Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or related field
• Valid teaching credential or endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education
• Previous experience teaching K-12 students, particularly those with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement adaptive physical education curricula
• Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement adaptive physical education programs that meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess student abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and progress
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate physical education into the overall curriculum
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding performance and expectations
